A Facile Synthesis of 1-(4-Methoxybenzyl)-4-[(E)-4-(trimethylsilyl)but-1-en-3-yn-1-yl]-1H-indole and 2-Aryl-1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1H-indole-4-carbaldehydes

Indole derivatives containing a enyne moiety are precursors to many indole-based natural products like indiacen. These scaffolds were synthesized from commercially available 4-bromoindole and other inex­pensive reagents. The synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral data.
