Zusammenfassung:	In this paper, the interrelation between the rigidity of complex materials of natural origin and their structural characteristics is considered. The rigidity is estimated by determining the pliability as a characteristic used in light industry for evaluating the properties of garment materials. The pliability coefficient is used as a quantitative characteristic, and some mathematical models for calculating the pliability from the main structural characteristics are proposed.
