THE MIRACLE OF JURY REFORM IN NEW YORK

It is truly remarkable that New York State was able to radically transform its jury system in the space of a decade. Against all odds, an abundance of initiatives were successfully put into place to accomplish two goals--democratizing jury service and easing juror burdens.
