Zusammenfassung: | This paper focuses on the self-synchronization control of cascaded-type STATCOM. One module is controlled as the current source, and the rest are regulated as voltage sources. The low-bandwidth communication is just used to transmit the given reactive powers. Via the carrier of common grid current acquired locally, the self-synchronized operation of all modules is realized. When a short interruption in communication occurs, the stable operation of the system is unaffected. Thus, the system reliability is improved in case of communication failure. The small-signal stability of the proposed scheme is proven. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is verified by both simulation and hardware-in-the-loop results. |
