Zusammenfassung: | The Evaporative cooling system is one of the simplest cooling techniques and an ancient method. It is an eco- friendly cooling system that cools the supply air with the help of water and reduces the temperature. The supply air temperature reduced with the help of two stages of the Evaporative cooling system. The two stages of the Evaporative cooling system are indirect and direct cooling which helps to reduce the dry bulb temperature as well as controlling the humidity of the supply air. The heat transfer in indirect evaporative stage is ineffective and hence in this work we have used graphene. A series of experiments were performed by varying the flowrate of water. From the experimental work, we observed that the use of graphene enhances the performance of the two stage evaporative cooling system. This is due to the higher specific surface area to volume ratio and higher thermal conductivity of the graphene which enhances the heat transfer. The water flowrate was optimised in this work as it significantly affects the efficiency of the evaporative cooling system. |
