Zusammenfassung: | This study is about the influence of bio carrier media to treat the fruit canning industry effluent having small high-rate anaerobic vessel of 4 liters volume and 40 Nos of bio carriers inside the vessel. The initial loading of the vessel was 0.98 g of COD / L.d having detention period of 5.50 days and run for 165 days with fruit canning liquid waste as influent. The lab work revealed that the high rate anaerobic vessel treating the fruit canning industry effluent could treat the maximum OLR of 13.17 g COD/L.d and detention period of 0.47 days along with 80% COD elimination efficacy. The biomass quantification study of the reactor revealed that biomass attachment over the bio carrier media was highly supportive for the effective performance of the high rate anerobic reactor. |
