Zusammenfassung:Teluk Bahang is one of the earthfill dams in Malaysia built across a lake to hold backwater. It is a water storage facility with four principal functions such water supply, hydropower, flood management, and a new tourism attraction. The dam is extremely exposed to deterioration during operation and due to load. There are damages to the dam that needs to be highlighted. This study is to assess the damage of the Teluk Bahang Dam when it is under services. The visual investigation was carried out to monitor the dam's surface condition from January 2021 to March 2021. The dam's structural damage can be categorised into three, namely overtopping by flood, foundation defects and piping or seepage. However, the serious damages on the Teluk Bahang Dam are seepage, crack, and concrete deterioration. This study is significantly vital to monitor the long performance of the dam.
