Zusammenfassung: | This short communication presents a mechanical performance of the Cu/1010 steel bimetal laminated composites with typical heterogeneous interface. Interfacial mismatch allows for superior strength that can exceed the predicted value of the rule of mixture. This special behavior is afforded by pile-up and interaction of geometrical necessary dislocations caused by interfacial mismatch.
