Zusammenfassung: | This study provides a detailed biomimicry process to design an aerodynamically efficient light truck inspired by a yellow boxfish. This process involves the selection of proper biological species based on the project goal, testing of mimicry parameters, and implementing the intended design. The results confirmed that the biomimicry of boxfish could provide an improvement in the light truck design with a significant aerodynamic advantage. The developed light truck inspired by a boxfish can reduce the aerodynamic drag by up to 30% compared to commercial production vehicles. Thus, the achievement of high aerodynamic efficiency will reduce energy consumption and lower greenhouse gas emissions, and minimize the environmental impact. |
