Zusammenfassung:Nanoparticles of Al2O3 had been synthesized by the precipitation method. The Al(OH)3 was calcined at 500°C for 2 hours to get the Al2O3 nanoparticles. XRD analyses showed that the Al2O3 nanoparticles crystallized in gamma structure with a crystallite size of 5.2 nm and a lattice constant of 7.8967 Å. The BET analyses showed that the specific surface area and particle sizes were 99.6 m2/gr and 16.5 nm, respectively. According to the FTIR analyses, OH functional group was found on the surface of the Al2O3 nanoparticles. A nanofluid of Al2O3 was prepared by dispersing the Al2O3 nanoparticles into water and ultrasonicated it. We irradiated the nanofluids using gamma ray with doses of 0.4 mGy, 2.5 mGy, 8.5 mGy, and 96 mGy. The absorbance of the nanofluids was measured using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer before and after irradiation. The absorbance data showed that the nanofluids had an excellent response to the gamma ray radiation. From this data, we concluded that the Al2O3 nanofluid could apply as a personnel gamma-ray dosimeter.
