Zusammenfassung:[...]many drugs having off-label use are being tried by the clinicians to offer relief and reduce frequency of migraine attacks. [...]this study was planned with the objectives of assessing the drug use pattern offered in the outpatient department (OPD) and analyzing the effects of antimigraine medications on healthrelated quality of life as per MIDAS score. The patients reporting to the OPD who fulfilled the selection criteria and gave written informed consent were enrolled. [...]using periodic sampling technique based on duration of study, 107 patients were recruited. Prescription indicators and study variables considered for the analysis were diagnosis of migraine by International Headache Society (IHS) criteria,[5] precipitating factors, number of antimigraine drugs per prescription, drug details such as frequency of prescribed drugs, number of drugs prescribed by generic name, number of drugs prescribed from the WHO Essential Medicines List-2021,[6] and availability of drugs in hospital schedule.
