Zusammenfassung:A 2‐year‐old spayed female domestic short haired cat presented for evaluation of chronic lethargy, inappetence and otitis media/interna that developed secondary to an inflammatory polyp, which had been removed via traction a month prior to presentation. Upon presentation, the cat displayed mild vestibular ataxia and left head tilt, in addition to a bulging left tympanic membrane. Therapy with broad‐spectrum antibiotic therapy and anti‐inflammatory corticosteroids was initiated, however the cat soon developed signs of central vestibular disease and obtunded mentation. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed left‐sided otitis media/interna and cerebellar abscessation. Surgical debridement of the abscess was indicated but declined by the owner in favour of euthanasia.
