Event-based analysis of innovative behavior for student project management

The paper presents an original approach of innovation project analysis based on monitoring of the events that accompany and characterize the typical issues. Innovative projects are considered to be different from other types of projects and require new technologies of project management. Based on the proposed model there was developed a system for decision-making support for monitoring and management of student innovation projects adequate to their volume, complexity, uncertainty, and place in the portfolio. The solution is illustrated by two typical projects taken out of the scope of 30 real projects carried out during the period of 2019 – 2020. The results allowed improving the project activity considering the influence of uncertainty and human factor by application of individual motivation and management actions.
