Zusammenfassung:A study is performed of the pyroelectric response of thin ferroelectric films of strontium barium niobate Sr x Ba 1 –x Nb 2 O 6 (SBN- x ) when heated by a pulsed laser. It is shown that the distribution of the pyroelectric coefficient over the depth of a sample and the magnitude of spontaneous polarization can be determined from the response. Special attention is given to an SBN-50 film grown by plasma spraying on an indium–tin–oxide layer deposited on a sapphire substrate.
