P‐2.3: The Development of Virtual Reality Technology and the Origin of the Metaverse

VR virtual reality technology is an emerging human‐computer interaction technology, which brings a variety of near‐real experiences to users, and has extremely broad application prospects in many fields such as education, medical care, retail and games. The explosion of the metaverse concept in 2021 will push VR technology to a new stage of development. Virtual reality technology is the technical cornerstone of the Metaverse. This paper sorts out the generation and development of virtual reality technology, expounds the origin of the Metaverse, and provides a certain reference value for the development of virtual reality and the Metaverse.
