Zusammenfassung: | The author commemorates personal life of the literary historian, translator and religious activist Juraj Chovan-Rehák, who worked at the Memorial of Slovak Literature of the Matica Slovenská (currently the Literary Museum of the Slovak National Library) from the 1960s. His substantial legacies included compiling and publishing proceedings related to literary museums. Moreover, he paid special attention to the compilation and editing of several complementary books (anthologies dedicated to A. Bernolák, J. Hollý, J. Škultéty, etc.). The author states that most of Chovan's texts are at the interface of literature and cultural history. |
