Zusammenfassung:Background: Iron deficiency may occur due to increased need and inadequate compensation of losses in pregnancy. Anemia may contribute to the emergence of depression and may lead to increased frequency. Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate whether iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is related to the risk of pregnancy depression and whether that risk differs in different stages of pregnancy. Method: A total of 408 pregnant women took part in the study. Possible depression was assessed using the Edinburgh postnatal depression scale (EPDS).
