Zusammenfassung: | The ballistic responses of the composite targets composed of the corrugated ceramic block and corrugated steel plate were investigated by numerical simulation. The effects of the composite target configuration on the projectile residual velocity, the failure mode, and the energy absorption of targets were analyzed. The ballistic performance of the composite target with composites back plate was discussed. The results show that the projectile impacting on the slope of the target has the least residual velocity of projectiles, and the slope of the target can remarkably change the trajectory of the projectile. Adding the corrugated UHMWPE composites plate along the direction of the steel back plate of the configuration can effectively improve the overall anti‐penetration performance of the configuration. |
