Zusammenfassung: | Fe-added zirconium oxide electrocatalyst was synthesized using pyrazine carboxylic acid for catalyzing oxygen reduction reactions (ORR) in acidic media. The optimization of the Fe-additive ratio led to the highest onset potential of 0.917 V for ORR at −10 mA gcat−1 compared to that of previous studies. The high ORR activity was due to the formation of high-quality active sites with Fe addition in monoclinic ZrO2 and a suitable electron supply path created through carbon deposited using a pyrazine carboxylic acid complex. |
