Zusammenfassung:Studies have shown that both out-of-school science activities and parental/family engagement can enhance student interest and success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Increasing opportunities for the professional development of teachers has also been recommended as a strategy to improve STEM education. Here, Monette describe a model for a structured Family Science Night that is useful for educators interested in engaging students and their families in STEM beyond the classroom.
