Zusammenfassung:The experience of developing and obtaining composite ferrosilicon nitride by the method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) is presented. Nitrogenization of standard grades of ferrosilicon powders by combustion in a laboratory and industrial SHS reactor was studied in conditions of NTPF “Etalon” Ltd. Technique for producing composite ferrosilicon exceeding the properties of a furnace synthesis product was developed based on the metallurgical SHS process. The results of industrial testing of domestic taphole clays with the addition of SHS ferrosilicon nitride in 2000 m3 blast furnaces of PJSC MMK are presented.
