Zusammenfassung:Talbot focuses on one specific concerto, Concerto III in the Walsh & Hare anthology. This publication was first advertised in the "Country Journal or The Craftsman" of 4 Jan 1729. The announcement opens between 1714 and 1736 ten concertos currently attributable to Vivaldi either on the basis of concordances or on account of stylistic congruity (and usually both) appeared in six published anthologies containing six (on one occasion, twelve) such works by a variety of composers. Three of these collections, datable to 1714, 1716 and 1717 and respectively numbered 188, 417 and 432-433 in the publisher's catalogue, came out in Amsterdam from the firm of Estienne Roger (the second and third under the imprint of his daughter Jeanne). Concerto V (RV 456) is a concerto facile in exactly the same way as Concerto III and likewise has the look of an early work.
