Zusammenfassung:DSC is used to determine the heat capacity of compound Bi 12.5 Ho 1.5 CoO 22.3 in the 180–500 K range of temperatures. It is shown there are no phase transitions in this range. Standard enthalpy of formation Bi 12.5 Ho 1.5 COO 22.3 is determined via dissolution calorimetry, based on the enthalpies of dissolution of Bi 2 O 3 measured in 1 M hydrochloric acid, Bi 12.5 Ho 1.5 CoO 22.3 , and literature data: (Δ f H 0 (Bi 12.5 Ho 1.5 COO 22.3 ) = −5269.8 ± 18.2 kJ/mol). The lattice enthalpy is calculated using the Born–Haber cycle: Δ lat H 0 (Bi 12.5 Ho 1.5 CoO 22.3 ) = −99 080 kJ/mol.
