Zusammenfassung:The reaction of methyl esters of aroylpyruvic acids with methyl 2-aminobenzoate in glacial acetic acid in the presence of anhydrous sodium acetate afforded a series of methyl 2-{[(2 Z )-4-aryl-2-hydroxy-4-oxobut-2-enoyl]amino}benzoates. The analgesic activity of the synthesized compounds was studied.
