Zusammenfassung:From the coast of Vietnam, Nemipterus biendongensis sp. n. has been described, similar in body proportions to N. balinensoides , but differing from this species in a significantly smaller number of gill rakers (9 versus 15–17), a narrower scaleless edge of the praeoperculum, and a slightly elongated first branched ray of the upper lobe of the caudal fin.
