Zusammenfassung: | State rangeland policies have contributed to the undermining of Bedouin resource management institutions. Here, Ngaido et al postulate that the changing national development paradigms contributed to the heightening of parallel types of uncertainty which have challenged traditional Bedouin institutions and forced an increased reliance on individual market-access institutional options. They discuss the different rangeland policies and their effects on Bedouin sheep production systems and evaluate the present feeding systems and quantifies the effects of institutional and market access-options on feed costs. |
