Zusammenfassung: | Research projects conducted after 1989 on post-war literary exile, more and more various in Romania, seem to remain widely captive to ideology. In an attempt to best situate the literary works in the context of anti-communist exile, these studies themselves become prisoners of an anti-communist ideology, opposing a counter-ideology to an ideology. Of course, the analysis of ideologies must be part of the concerns of researchers interested in the issue of exile, but it needs to be done in a detached and detailed manner. On the other hand, more attention should be paid to the literary works themselves. Literary studies must use their own tools and methods in the analysis of works produced in exile, with the same requirement that they show in the case of Romanian literary works in general. After some remarks about a few trends in the study of exile literature, we then briefly examine in this article some aspects of the recent reception in Romania of three exiled writers (Emil Cioran, Theodor Cazaban, Virgil Tañase). |
