Zusammenfassung:Sports archaeology has the nature of being interdisciplinary, which is of unique value in enriching sports research theories and methods.Based on the perspective of sports archaeology, this paper studies the various body skill displays and competitive activity characteristics of Han people on horseback by analyzing the equestrian activity materials presented by different carriers such as stone reliefs, portrait bricks, tomb murals, lacquer ware and pottery figurines in Han dynasty.This paper shows that the equestrian images of Han dynasty are mainly found in in four regions: Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu and Shaanxi; In terms of the main presentation forms and characteristics of equestrian activities in the Han dynasty, the equestrian activities prevailing in the Han dynasty included three forms: horse racing based on speed and distance racing, horse dancing through horse training to perform various dance movements, and horse skills in which people rely on their own unique body skills to coordinate with tamed hors
