Based on the UNICEF estimates, 5 years ago these children amounted to 150 million, according to the latest report their number is inestimable. The primary reason for this situation is the worldwide pandemic of the family disintegration. Slovakia as the postcommunist country has been changing its care system from the boarding institutions to today's centers for child and family. |
