Zusammenfassung:Pre-aging and high force friction stir processing were applied to Mg–9Al–1Zn alloy. The stir zone exhibited an enhanced yield strength due to grain refinement, dislocation strengthening, precipitate strengthening, and texture randomization. The activation of {101‾2} twins contributed to coordinating plastic deformation for improving the work hardening ability and ductility.
