Zusammenfassung:A dioxomolybdenum hydrazone Schiff base complex immobilized on chloromethylated polystyrene [MoO 2 L@CMP] was synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques like FT-IR, UV-Vis, DRS, SEM and EDAX. Its catalytic activity was investigated in the oxidation of various aliphatic and aromatic sulfides using H 2 O 2 as an oxidant in ethanol as a green solvent under reflux conditions. The catalyst could readily be separated from the reaction mixture and reused in subsequent reactions with no significant loss of activity.
