Zusammenfassung:A two-dimensional (2-D) analytical model is proposed for surface-mounted permanent magnet (SPM) machines to predict the flux density, Back-Electro Motive Force (Back-EMF), cogging torque and electromagnetive torque. In this work, virtual current (VC) analytical method is used based on the solution of the Poissons’s equation. The VC sheets are used for modeled the stator teeth effect. An analytical model is provided to predict the magnetic flux density (due to armature currents and PM) for slotted optimum SPM machines with the loaf-shaped PM and dummy slots. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified by finite element analysis (FEA) and experimental results.
