•Bis [hydrazine (1 + )] hexafluorosilicate: (N2H5)2SiF6 has been developed as a new heterogeneous catalyst with high potency, beneficial for the environment.•The hybrid crystal (N2H5)2SiF6 are shown excellent catalytic performance towards the preparation of 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones and 2,4,5-triaryl-1H-imidazoles as heterogeneous catalysts.•Furthermore, the present (N2H5) 2SiF6 catalysts are separated and can be used effectively after five runs with high stability.
The utilization of the heterogeneous catalysts has become a vital way in organic synthesis and the production of the desired product with a higher yield more than the traditional synthesis. In the current paper a green effective approach have madden for the synthesis of two families 2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-ones and 2, 4,5-triaryl-1H-imidazoles in the presence of hybrid monocrystal in durable conditions at reflux (80 °C). The synthesized products were characterized by FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and elemental analysis. This approach has several advantages such as short reaction times, excellent yields of synthesized products, mild conditions, simplicity of handling, and ease of product insulation. In addition, (N2H5)2SiF6 can be recycled up to five times without a significant loss of catalytic reactivity. |
