Zusammenfassung:A way of calculating the service life of serial high-power laser diodes with wide contacts is proposed. The procedure is based a 50-h field study of a sample from a large batch of such devices and the spectrum of a particular device at the start of its operation. The decay of radiation in such lasers into separate non-phased channels of generation is analyzed to validate the procedure. Laser diodes in this case take the form of a set of single-mode emitters.
