Zusammenfassung:The energy spectra of fullerene С 50 and exohedral fullerene С 50 Cl 10 with symmetry group D 5 h are obtained within the Hubbard model in the static fluctuation approximation. Their energy states are classified and allowed transitions in the energy spectra of the С 50 and С 50 Cl 10 molecules are determined using group-theory methods. The experimentally observed optical absorption bands of exohedral fullerene С 50 Cl 10 are interpreted based on the energy spectra of the С 50 Cl 10 molecule.
