Zusammenfassung:Based on ERA5 atmospheric reanalysis data and HadISST satellite data on the sea surface temperature, the climatology of summer extreme precipitation over the Black Sea water area was studied for the period 1979–2021. A detailed diagnosis of the occurrence of several episodes of extreme precipitation over the Black Sea region in the second half of June 2021 was carried out. The relationship between extreme precipitation and an increase in sea surface temperature is shown. A decrease in the number of seasons with abnormally heavy precipitation was revealed against the background of an increase in their intensity.
