Two New Glycosides from the Water Extract of Lepisanthes rubiginosa Collected in Vietnam

In this attempt to seek promising compounds from Lepisanthes rubiginosa, a widely used folk medicine in the middle of Vietnam, we isolated four compounds from the water extracts of the leaves and the barks, including a new oleanane glycoside lepisantheside C ( 1 ), a new farnesyl glycoside lepisantheside D ( 2 ), and two known compounds. Their structures were elucidated using spectroscopic methods (HR-ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR) and by comparison with the reported data.
