Zusammenfassung: | This paper reports on full-scale construction tests of cast-in-place concrete belled piles using high strength concrete with large bottom area, and the following conclusion are drawn. 1) The proposed technique enables the excavation with an expanded bottom shape having a bottom area lager than the size of the used bucket. 2) A scraper-type tool can reliably treat slime to the periphery of the pile bottom. 3) The pile constructed by casting concrete met design dimensions and strength. |
