Zusammenfassung: | This article traces how the missional nature of the Assemblies of God in the Philippines has been critical to the growth, expansion, and maturation of the Philippines General Council of the Assemblies of God (PGCAG). Using Carl Gibb 's five-level training pyramid, this author discusses the strengths and weaknesses, purpose, and influence of each level, from a new believer 's class to the Ph.D. level at the Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in Baguio City. The need for and challenges involved in maintaining a balance between academics, spirituality, and practical ministry in formal theological education are also discussed. |
