Zusammenfassung:The work of Chinese abstract artists Shi Jui and Wang Gongyi is discussed, in the context of the "Elles font l'abstration" conference held at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France from 19 to 21 May 2021. The conference follows the eponymous exhibition at the Centre Pompidou and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain in 2021/22. A focus on the history of abstract art in China is included. Translated into French by Marie-Mathilde Bortolotti. Selected works are featured.
