Combustion Synthesis and Phase Formation in the Ti–Al–Mn Alloy

Ti–24Al–33Mn alloy containing cubic TiMn 0.32 Al 2.68 , hexagonal TiMn 0.755 Al 1.246 , and Mn 3 Al 2 was prepared by combustion synthesis (SHS method). The synthesized samples were shown to have sufficiently high porosity with individual pore sizes up to 300–400 µm.
