Zusammenfassung: | To make India progress, Industrialization is the key factor, which requires a strong and economical vehicular operation. Road transportation is the lifeline of the country and requires sustainable, reliable, and economical development with less wastage and low pollution. Soil stabilization provides strength and support to road development. Adding different materials to the sub-base soil increases its strength. In this research paper, the traditional methods used for highway construction and soil stabilization have been replaced by Silica Fume and Nano-chemicals likeTerrasil and Zycobond which are economical and reduces waste material, and produce less pollution. Various laboratory experiments were conducted to study the geotechnical properties of clay soil mixed with silica fume, Terrasil, and Zycobond. California Bearing Ratio (CBR) for Silica Fumes as a stabilizer with different proportions (15%, 20%, 25%, 30%) in clay soil, Terrasil and Zycobond in different proportions (1, 1.25, 1.30, 1.35, 1.4) kg/m3 in.clay soil and the composition of all the three stabilizers in clay soil was observed. The results show that the CBR value improved thus reducing the crust thickness and construction cost. |
