Zusammenfassung:In this paper, we synthesized nano-scale Mg(OH) 2 , Ce(OH) 4 , Mg/Ce(OH) 6 , and MgCeO 3 by simple membrane electrolysis. Under visible-light irradiation, the photocatalytic effect was measured by photocatalytic H 2 O 2 degradation of methylene blue (MB). The properties of the prepared materials were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), N 2 adsorption–desorption isotherms (BET), UV–Visible spectrophotometry (UV–Vis), Mott–Schottky and ESR methods were used to characterize. The results show that, unlike the expected photocatalytic performance of the composite product, pure Mg(OH) 2 can achieve a photodegradation rate of 85.93% of MB (10 mg/L of 100 mL) under 4 h of visible light. However, the photocatalytic activity of Mg(OH) 2 /Ce(OH) 4 and MgO/CeO 2 was even worse than that of H 2 O 2 alone, so we further explored the reasons for the poor photocatalytic effect of the Mg/Ce complex.
