Zusammenfassung:The development of new materials is extremely important for the successful development of many modern industry branches. The first part of this work presents the study’s results of modified polymer compositions intended for the manufacture of protective hardening coatings for optical fiber. The second part of the experiments is devoted to electrical insulating materials developed for cold-resistant cable products. In both cases, mechanical properties, which change sharply after phase transitions, are essential. Thus, the main purpose of the work was the glass transition temperature determination of these materials. The research by dynamic mechanical analysis and differential scanning calorimetry were carried out for polymer materials and finished product samples. The glass transition was determined from the graphs of the heat flow, loss modulus, storage modulus and loss factor temperature dependences. Based on the obtained results, the temperature ranges of mechanical properties stability for various modifications of the investigated polymer compositions were determined.
