Zusammenfassung:The ionic and phase compositions of Y 2.5 Ce 0.5 Fe 2.5 Ga 2.5 O 12 ferrogarnet samples obtained by gel combustion with subsequent vacuum annealing were studied for the first time by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction analysis. The X-ray powder diffraction data confirmed the phase homogeneity of Y 2.5 Ce 0.5 Fe 2.5 Ga 2.5 O 12 and the absence of a cerium dioxide impurity. At the same time, on the surface of Y 2.5 Ce 0.5 Fe 2.5 Ga 2.5 O 12 particles, along with Ce 3+ , there are Ce 4+ ions.
