Zusammenfassung:In this work, a CF-Bi 2 O 3 composite electrode is developed by coating conductive carbon felt with a slurry of Bi 2 O 3 and polyacrylonitrile (PAN). Iodide ions are extracted from an aqueous solution using the electrode in a symmetric pulsed current-assisted electrochemical method. The adsorption equilibrium has been established in 240 min, and the maximum adsorption capacity was up to 250 mg g −1 . When compared to the conventional physicochemical method, the electrochemical method demonstrated higher adsorption capacity and selectivity. The results indicate that the developed method has a promising potential for treating iodide-containing solutions.
