NUEVAS REFLEXIONES PARA VIEJOS ESPACIOS: LA ALMUNIA NAZARÍ DE DARABENAZ Y SU RELACIÓN CON LOS PALACIOS DE DON NUÑO (S. XIII)

During the nineteenth century, two schools of thought sought their location in two different sites: the Alcázar Genil palace on the one hand, and the Nasrid almunia (horticultural lands) of Darabenaz on the other. The location of the thirteenth century almunia, still assumed today as a given, comes from a partial author who wrote more than 350 years after the event. By re-examining the original sources, it is possible to confirm that don Nuño's palaces still existed at the end of the fourteenth or the beginning of the fifteenth century.
