Zusammenfassung:Agriculture is one of the essential aspects in any country's development, as it provides the major source of food, employment, for its importance in nation's revenue and international Trades. India is one such country which depends on agriculture for its economic growth. Indian agriculture sector accounts for 18% of the country's GDP and it provides employment for more than 50% of rural population. As many of the Indian farmers are still using the traditional technologies in farming which are integrated more with hard work than smart work, most of the youth in India are not interested towards the agriculture. As the technology is enhancing day by day, the agriculture sector will also certainly need to adopt new trends and technologies into it, so as to increase the productivity and profits. One such way is to transform our traditional agricultural practices into smart farming by introducing drones into the farming to not only drag the attention, interest among the young people towards the agriculture but also to increase the productivity and profits. We can make the efficient use of drones in monitoring overall crops health, while inputting the seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and in detecting the threats like weeds, pest, fungi quickly. This paper will discuss about the importance and advantages of usage of the drones in Indian agriculture.
