Zusammenfassung: | Our electric power distribution system is man-made and hence it cannot be absolutely reliable. Electric power distribution networks have been using distributed generation (dg) for quite sometimes. The major advantages of dg application include loss reduction in network, improvement in voltage profile and system reliability enhancement. Evolution of optimization techniques inspired from nature for suitable sizing and location of dg’s by mathematically formulating it to minimize the issue. The quality of optimal result needs improvement through advanced soft computing methods. Particle swarm optimization (pso) is a modern meta-heuristic algorithm that addresses the dg application problem efficiently. The nature inspired pso algorithm is implemented to a standard radial distribution system for solving three trial studies having two different load schemes. Comparing the outcomewithpso simulation with a similar nature inspired optimization technique reveals that the pso is an effective tool for solving dg application problems efficiently. |
