Factors influencing vegetation on Guwahati region during 2010-2015

In this paper, the interconnection between vegetation (veg) and other parameters was presented on Guwahati region (26.14oN 91.73oE) by using NCEP NCAR reanalysis data. The parameters which we have utilized to study the vegetation parameter are wind speed, volumetric soil moisture (VSM), water runoff and transpiration. Our attempt was to bring out the annual variations of vegetation with other parameters over Guwahati region. Guwahati region is located in Assam state, India. The transpiration parameter was also helpful in studying the vegetation parameter. The wind speed parameter shows less correlation during 2010-2015. The results of this paper suggested the greatness of NCEP NCAR reanalysis data in analysing the vegetation related parameters.
